- The U.S. is happy to have been voted back on the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, after having been ousted a year ago.
- U.S. ally General Pervez Musharraf, who overthrew the democratically elected government of Pakistan, is said to make the trains run on time, a virtue usually attributed to Benito Mussolini.
